Team Adem Donation to help Radiation Patients

Last week Team Adem was proud to make an important donation to the Radiation Unit in the Adem Crosby Centre. 300 (12 months supply) of Team Adem personalised water bottles were donated. The water bottles will be used by patients who are receiving radiation to their pelvis. Patients are required to drink a specified amount of water 30 – 45 mins prior to their radiation treatment, many require to repeat this treatment up to 39 times. The aim is to have a consistent bladder size every day for treatment.

It is anticipated that this donation of 300 reusable Team Adem water bottles will eliminate the need for the single use of around 6000 plastic water bottles per annum of which currently the Radiation Oncology Service provides. Team Adem would like to acknowledge Senior Radiation Therapist, Katlelyn Cahill (far right) in helping Team Adem achieve this great initiative.
