Team Adem Donates more Water Bottles and Bakslaps to Adem Crosby Centre Patients

On behalf of Team Adem, Lu and Brent dropped into the Radiation Unit in the Adem Crosby Centre to donate another 12 months’ supply of Team Adem personalised water bottles. The water bottles are being used by patients receiving radiation to their pelvis. Patients must drink a specified amount of water 30 – 45 minutes before their radiation treatment; many must repeat this treatment up to 39 times during the treatment. The aim is to have a consistent bladder size every day for treatment. This initiative has been running for 12 months and has eliminated the use of close to 6000 plastic water bottles .
Team Adem also dropped off another box of bakslap lotion applicators, which are given to patients undergoing radiation therapy who live by themselves and find it challenging to apply moisturising creams in hard-to-reach areas (such as your back) during radiation therapy.
